Scot Ackerman, MD
Ackerman Cancer Center

Scot Ackerman, M.D., Board Certified in Radiation Oncology, is the Medical Director of Ackerman Cancer Center and is an honorary Fellow of the American College of Radiology. After completing his training at Columbia University in New York City, he came to Jacksonville and has been in private practice for more than 35 years, serving as an integral force in Florida’s fight against cancer. He held the position of Chief of Radiation Oncology at St. Vincent’s Medical Center prior to opening Ackerman Cancer Center in 1997.

Currently, Dr. Ackerman oversees the Ackerman Cancer Foundation and is a board member of WeCare Jacksonville. He was appointed to the Florida Board of Medicine by Governor Ron Desantis and also works alongside the First Lady of Florida, Casey Desantis, on the Florida Cancer Connect Collaborative.

Margie Berg
Physician Liaison, Children's Wisconsin

Margie has 10 years’ experience in the Physician Liaison role. She enjoys using her skills to achieve sales growth through developing new client accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and developing/maintaining long-term relationships with physicians and health care leaders both internally and externally. Margie has earned a Masters in Organizational Leadership, has been an active member of AAPL for many years, and serves on the Resource and Development Committee.


Katie Bakewell
Vice President, AI Strategy, NLP Logix

Katie Bakewell serves as the Vice President of AI Strategy at NLP Logix, where she brings over 13 years of experience leading diverse and impactful projects—from predictive maintenance for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program to efficacy analysis for poison control center co-management. She has authored several publications focused on retrospective analyses of wound care skin substitutes. A proud University of North Florida alumna, Katie holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and statistics as well as a master’s degree in mathematical sciences. She is actively involved in the Jacksonville community, serving on the board of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, the advisory council for Community First Credit Union, and as a part of Florida Data Science for Social Good. Katie lives in Jacksonville with her husband and is an enthusiastic supporter of all the local sports teams.

April Foster
Physician Relations Territory Manager, University of Kansas Health System  

April graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in social science with an emphasis in economic management. Since then, April has enjoyed a fun and rewarding career in healthcare marketing and has even gained experience as a practice administrator for a small primary care practice. April began helping patients connect with world class care as Physician Relations Territory Manager at The University of Kansas Health System nearly six years ago.


Jason Harle
Educator and Entrepreneur  

Jason has over 15 years of experience in teaching, business, and professional development. He is passionate about helping students and professionals build meaningful relationships and develop a strong personal brand. His background includes business, professional development, and sport management, along with founding an online personal training company where he has written nine publications. He teaches at Florida State University, Concordia, St. Paul, and Des Moines Area Community College. As a doctoral candidate, his research explores how business students use LinkedIn for informal learning to improve their networking and career development. He believes career success is built on authentic connections and is dedicated to mentoring others in networking, branding, and long-term growth to help them stand out in a competitive professional landscape.


Ashley Hilliard
Senior Director of Practice Growth & Referral Relations, Texas Oncology  

Ashley leads the statewide liaison program. The Texas Oncology liaison team consists of 33 senior liaisons who support practice initiatives and growth strategies. With 20 years of experience in both liaison roles and pharmaceutical sales, Ashley joined Texas Oncology in 2010. She initially served as an Oncology Liaison and Regional Manager covering the Central, South, and Northeast regions before being promoted to Senior Director overseeing the entire state. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman's University and resides in Paris, TX.

Physician Liaison, Shriners Children's Hospital   

Elizabeth is a business development professional with 24 years of healthcare experience, specializing in physician relations. Based in Greenville, SC, she has dedicated 12 years to Shriners Children's as a Physician Liaison, fostering partnerships and driving provider engagement across multiple states. Elizabeth excels in strategic problem-solving and identifying new opportunities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from University of South Carolina’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications.


Alice Hou
Physician Liaison, Stanford Health Care

Alice has been a Physician Liaison with Stanford Health Care for 3 years. Prior to Stanford she worked at Sutter Health for over 10 years. She has an extensive sales and business development background. Alice lives in Santa Clara and has been married for over 12 years and has a 9-year-old son.


Kayla Joy
Physician Relations Territory Manager, University of Kansas Health System

With twenty-three years of healthcare experience, Kayla has served as a Director of Medical Staff Affairs for a 1200 member medical staff, physician recruiter and physician contract manager.  Kayla joined The University of Kansas Health System two years ago as a Physician Relations Territory Manager, connecting world class specialists with community physicians throughout the state of Kansas. Kayla graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in communications and emphasis in public relations. 


Amanda S. Lochrie, PhD, MBA, Chief of Psychology, Interim Chair of Pediatrics, Nemours Children's Health

Amanda S. Lochrie, PhD, MBA, has been a dedicated leader at Nemours since joining as a Pediatric Psychology Fellow in 2002, transitioning to the faculty in 2003 and now serving as Chief of the Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics for the past decade and is the Interim Chair, Department of Pediatrics . She has spearheaded several clinical and research initiatives centering around enhancing clinical care and improving access to mental health services for children.

Her leadership in addressing gaps in care has been transformative. She has used philanthropy and a Health Resources and Services Administration grant to expand telemental health services to underserved communities across Florida, including Central Florida and rural areas. Dr. Lochrie also directs the PATH program, co-leads the ADAPT program, and has significantly contributed to the Pediatric Psychology Fellowship program, helping to shape future leaders in pediatric mental health. Her efforts were recognized with the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with a PhD in child psychology and an internship at the University of Florida, Dr. Lochrie has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing pediatric mental health. She completed her MBA from the University of Massachusetts in May 2025.

Tamekia MizLadi Hart (formerly Smith) is the founder of EDU Arts, LLC, a distinguished thought leader and international speaker, celebrated for her engaging delivery style that seamlessly blends education and the arts. Scott Muldoon 
Physician Outreach Liaison, Nebraska Medicine

Scott Muldoon is a Physician Outreach Liaison with Nebraska Medicine’s Heart and Vascular Network, where he champions heart and vascular growth through strategic marketing and collaboration. With over nine years of healthcare experience, Scott has a comprehensive background in outreach and relationship management. Having worked previously in talent acquisition, he is well-versed in cultivating effective partnerships among others throughout the medical community as well as working in its unique setting.


Raymond W. Pak, M.D., M.B.A.
Assistant Professor of Urology, Urology Department Chair, Medical Director – Referring Physician’s Office (RPO), Mayo Clinic

Raymond Pak, M.D., is a physician in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He has an expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic and endoscopic surgery. He specializes in urologic cancers (prostate, kidney, ureter and bladder), obstructions (ureter), voiding dysfunction from BPH and kidney stone disease.

Dr. Pak received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from Rutgers University, followed by a medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency in general surgery and urologic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He then pursued fellowship training in minimally invasive oncology and stone surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the faculty of Mayo Clinic Florida, he served as the medical director of robotic surgery for Jenkins Clinic and Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia where he also obtained an MBA from the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech College of Engineering and Emory School of Medicine. His research interests are focused on the application of technology to deliver better surgical and medical care to patients.

Dr. Pak has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. In addition, he has travelled internationally to present his work. Dr. Pak is board certified by the American Board of Urology.

April Salazar

April currently serves as a Provider Business Development Manager at Keck Medicine of USC, where she leads outreach efforts across Southern California to support acute hospital transfers and access to specialized, high-acuity care. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare and a clinical background as a respiratory therapist, she brings a unique, patient-centered lens to care coordination and strategic growth.

Carlos Sepulveda

In 2024, Carlos led the development of the system's first Neonatal Outreach Program, aimed at enhancing neonatal care across the state. A pediatric cancer survivor, Carlos is passionate about improving access to pediatric care and connecting patients and providers with specialized support through strong, collaborative networks.

Vonda leads strategy to advance overall growth of the health system in Florida. Ms. Sexton has oversight for all programs, services, and staff under the service line structure to successfully meet growth objectives and performance across the Florida system. Ms. Sexton leads Nemours partnerships and affiliations in Florida and recently launched Nemours International Medicine program. Ms. Sexton works with various leaders to build stronger relationships and identify opportunities to expand pediatric health services across Florida and beyond.
