When Tragedy Strikes Your Community - The Impact on Your Organization, Your Physicians and Your Program

Policy and procedures in organizations are often perfected through repetition, finding out what works well and what may need to be revised. Fortunately most do not have to deal with crises management very often.  Panelists will provide a brief overview of their crisis experience.  You will hear what they observed and how it impacted their organizations.

Objectives

1.  Learn how planning and role assignment are vital to proper response.

2.  Understand how using “new media” tools such as social media can enhance communication.

3.  Demonstrate the need for system-wide collaboration before, during and after a natural disaster.

4.  Demonstrate the need for consistent internal and external communication before and after a natural disaster.
